Branding for a creative arts space where creativity is fun and exploration is encouraged.
Joyosity Creative Space is a creative art classroom and studio space founded by a good friend of mine, whose passion for art and creativity shines in every corner of this space. I was thrilled to have the exciting opportunity to create and develop the original branding for this new school, helping it stand out from other preschools and after school art programs in the Brookfield area.
With classes and events for students age 18 months to 18+, the branding focus was bold, fun, and a little bit messy, all reflecting the creative journey each student makes at Joyosity. The branding system was designed in a way to make art fun and approachable while complimenting and elevating student artwork when used alongside it.
As the main designer, I developed a design system for the Joyosity team, balancing structure with flexibility. Brand colors were kept close to primary while the graphic illustrations were created to look hand drawn, all choices that allow these elements to have a playful, creative touch. These choices ensured the branding could shine while letting studio photos and student work take center stage. The logos were created with versatility in mind, especially preschooler uniforms as they are a hit with parents. These uniforms are as practical as they are charming, allowing young artists to get delightfully messy while proudly representing the studio. The website was created using Squarespace and was designed for mobile optimization in mind as that is the primary use of the studio’s busy parents. With programs for all ages, I carefully structured the site to guide visitors to the right opportunities while showcasing the exciting possibilities Joyosity has to offer.
